Healing Heart Fund - our Pledge of Charity

$1 from every JRocco purchase will benefit the Division of Cardiology at The Childrens’ Hospital of Philadelphia (C.H.O.P) through our Healing Heart Fund. You’ll find the logo on every bottle of JRocco products along with our pledge of charity.

The Healing Heart Fund is the driving force behind creating the Originals Collection for JRocco Hair Care and introducing our new cross-training solutions using all the products developed since the Originals. JRocco is a journey that started with the birth of our 1st daughter Devan Amanda Balsamo on July 24th 1991 who left this world on February 22nd 1993. She had her first of two open heart surgeries at the age of only 3 months old

Myself, my wife Vicky and Devan’s younger brother and sister - Joey and Alexa Rae - always wanted to do something more. We used to do toy drives for C.H.O.P. They were good, but never left their mark. We then started what was going to be known as the broken heart fund. Several years ago on a trip to California to meet with the company and the art team that would ultimately manufacture JRocco shampoos, conditioners and styling products, I took my daughter Alexa Rae. Alexa is very artistic so I asked her to come up with a logo for the broken heart fund. I felt because this would benefit children it would be nice to have a child’s perspective. Well, she couldn’t come up with anything during the flight. We landed in San Diego and my cousins met us there and we went out to dinner. Alexa and her cousin Ashley were doodling on napkins not for any other reason than to occupy time. As we left the table I looked down and saw this doodle on a napkin of a heart with a flower in it. At that moment I had not only found a logo but also the name of the charity. What was going to be the Broken Heart Fund is now and will always be known as THE HEALING HEART FUND in honor of Devan.

The Originals Collection is geared for the average client who has normal to dry and normal to oily hair.

The Sport Collection was designed for the person with the more active lifestyle that needs gentle but deep cleaning and conditioning.

The Elite Collection is geared more for clients that have hair with special needs. The Elite line comes in a more shower friendly bottle with a pump.

The Spa Collection is geared for the client who wants organic ingredients for specialized hair care.

They all work well alone or inter-mixed. We have developed special combinations of products and sell them as Cross-Training Paks.
